Michael Ferrara
Originally from Palm City, Florida, MICHAEL FERRARA is a versatile and eclectic musician, equally at home in such diverse roles as conducting symphonic repertoire, performing in musical theater and opera pit orchestras, and appearing on-screen. The New York Times notated his performance as “…handling some of Mr. [Philip] Glass’s trickier syncopations with ease”. His recent credits include: Associate Conductor for the GLAAD Award Winning Production: “Drag: The Musical”, Associate Conductor: “Dead Outlaw” (Minetta Lane), “Spamalot” (Broadway), “Mean Girls” (First National Tour), “The Music Man” (Broadway), “Titanique”, “Flying Over Sunset” (Broadway), “Wicked” (Broadway), World Premiere: Music Director, Pianist and Conductor: “Mud/Drowning” (Philip Glass), and Music Director and Conductor: Bernstein’s “Peter Pan” at Bard’s Summerscape Festival.
